AMSTERDAM — MCT Federal Credit Union has awarded annual scholarships to two area student members of the credit union.
They are as follows:
The Anthony “Judge” Carusone Memorial Scholarship was awarded to McKenna Palczak of Amsterdam. Currently studying at Union College, Palczak majors in political science with a minor in history. She is active in athletics and is also a member of the Women’s Union.
Class of 2019 Amsterdam High School graduate Andrew Giaimo of Fort Johnson was awarded the MCT Scholarship.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, class president and a “triple-threat” scholar-athlete, competing in basketball, football and baseball. In addition, he coaches youth basketball and is a tutor for underclassmen. He will pursue a degree in business and economics at either Union College, Rensselear Polytechnic Institute or St. Lawrence University.
Eligible students are credit union members who must exhibit academic achievement and be active in community service.
