GJSD slated to host fundraising event

JOHNSTOWN — The Greater Johnstown School District is conducting a fundraising event for athletics slated for 6:30 p.m. June 19 at the Johnstown High School auditorium.

According to JHS Head Football Coach Tyler Hall, the Johnstown community is asking their fellow citizens to commit to help fund all the district’s athletic programs with a “generous donation” of $200 or more.

“Our goal is to raise $311,000 to continue our Johnstown traditions and the overall school experience for our students,” a news release states. “The JHS auditorium doors will open at 6:30 pm for community members to participate in this fundraising event. Checks can be made out to the Purple & Gold Booster Club. We look forward to rallying as a community to support all of our students.”
