GLOVERSVILLE — The Gloversville Community Music is seeking musicians for its upcoming performance of the Gloversville Wind Symphony which is a concert band open to talented high school and college students, as well as community musicians and music educators from throughout the region, according to a news release.
There are four rehearsals and the performance will be at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St., Mayfield.
The program titled “Adventure Calls” will feature works by American and Canadian composers including Chasing Sunlight by Cait Nishimura; Amaranthine by Julie Giroux; March from “Midway” by John Williams; Fate of the Gods by Steven Reineke; and more works from the stage and screen.
The tickets will be made available through Gloversville Community Music and the Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market for $5 presale; $10 at the door.
