JOHNSTOWN — A free open house and militia drills for kids will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, at the historic Drumm House, 115 W. Green St., sponsored by the Johnstown Historical Society and Museum.
As a New York State Path Through History event, children will experience musket drill with members of the 3rd Tryon County Militia. Children of all ages will be taught how to drill with the militia using wooden rifles and marching techniques.
Donations will be accepted. Drumm House will be open for tours, and its gift shop will be open. Refreshments will be served.
