Brooks barbecue at church Saturday

MAYFIELD — The Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St., will host its annual Brooks chicken barbecue beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release.

The menu will include chicken, baked potato, homemade coleslaw, roll, butter and beverage. Also included is a choice of a variety of homemade pies. Eat in (church is air conditioned) or take out. The price is $12 for a full dinner or $10 for half dinner. The church is handicap accessible and parking is available.

The drawing for the Pine Tree Quilt Barn Square painted by Liz Argotsinger will be held at the end of the barbecue. The tickets are available for $1 each or six for $5.

The tickets for the Josephine’s Knot raffle quilt made by Nancy Frank are also available. The drawing for the quilt will take place on Oct. 5, at the annual craft fair. For more information, call the church at (518) 661-6656.
