MAYFIELD — The Rev. Bonnie Orth, Nathan Littauer’s pastoral care coordinator, facilitates two groups focusing on advocacy and education about Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, with open discussion for sharing and support.
Both groups will meet on Thursday at Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St.
The Alzheimer’s Caregiver group will meet at 10:30 a.m. and is for family members or friends who care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
The Parkinson’s group will meet at 2 p.m. and is for anyone with Parkinson’s disease or other neurological conditions and their caregivers.
The guest speaker for both meetings will be Susan Beth Olsen, volunteer coordinator of Eddy Alzheimer’s Services, on the various services available and the process for securing assistance.
