AMSTERDAM — The following are the list of events for the Walter Elwood Museum, 100 Church St., according to a news release.
All camp days are free due to foundation donations.
∫ From 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 14: Columbus Day Camp — super heroes.
∫ From 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 11: Veterans Day Camp — edible and unicorn slime.
∫ From 1 to 4 p.m. holiday open house.
∫ Fall field trips are offered in October and November for elementary classes for kindergarten and first grade students to be able to touch and handle real Mohawk Indian stone tools, arrowheads and more.
The students can learn the history of how the Indian helped the Pilgrims survive, plant, fish and feast. Fees: The teachers attend for free; $3 each for students and parental chaperones. The student fee includes several arts and crafts projects to make and take home.
