Project Clean Streets schedule released

GLOVERSVILLE — The following is the city’s schedule for Project Clean Streets. There will be groups of volunteers meeting to pickup litter in neighborhoods throughout the city, according to a news release.

September:

∫ From 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 — the volunteers will meet at Country Farms.

The route will be South Main Street from West Pine Street to Broad Street, up Broad to Fifth Street and back to West Pine, including that portion of the Rail Trail.

The sponsors are the Gloversville Recreation Commission and Miss Railfest Pageant.

October:

∫ From 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday Oct. 19, — the volunteers will meet at Cumberland Farms.

Route: North Main Street from First – Third, up First, Second and Third Ave. towards Kingsboro.

The sponsor is the Gloversville Enlarged School District.

The route may change to a larger scope due to number of volunteers already received.

November:

∫ From 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, — the volunteers will be at Price Chopper.

Route: North Main Street from E. Ninth, E. Tenth, E, Eleventh, up to Kingsboro Ave., including that portion of the rail trail.

The sponsor is Dollar General
