Road work schedule planned

ALBANY — The State Department Of Transportation announced this week’s scheduled road work. These are the following local projects:

Montgomery County

Town of Canajoharie: Route 5S between the Canajoharie village line and Randall. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations.

Fulton County

City of Johnstown: Route 30A between Briggs Street and Townsend Avenue. Motorists will encounter north and south bound lane closures with flaggers in place due to curb work, excavation work and signal work.

Town of Mayfield: Route 30 and Route 30A. Motorists will encounter a full road closure at the intersection of Route 30 and Route 30A with a detour in place. The detour will be Route 349 to Route 30A to Route 30. A temporary signal is in place on Route 30 at Route 349 intersection

Hamilton County

Town of Inlet, Hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake: Route 28 between Inlet and Blue Mountain Lake. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to paving operations, drainage operations, snowmobile crossings, and culvert repairs.

Town of Arietta: Route 8 between Old Piseco Road (County Highway 24) north and south. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with temporary signals at each bridge due to the rehabilitation of Route 8 bridge over Piseco Lake outlet, Route 8 bridge over Sheriff Lake outlet and Route 8 bridge over Rogers Brook.

Town of Arietta: Route 10 between Route 29A and Route 8. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to guiderail installation.

Town of Indian Lake: Route 28 bridge over Lake Abanakee. Motorists will encounter lane closures with a temporary signal and a speed limit reduction of 30 mph in the work zone due to bridge joint replacement.
