Tai Chi for arthritis slated for Monday

JOHNSTOWN — The HealthLink Littauer, the community health and wellness service of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, will be having a series of Tai Chi for arthritis classes from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at their wellness center, 2 Colonial Court, according to a news release.

“This exercise program is specifically designed to help those with arthritis, joint and muscle problems,” stated Carol Tomlinson, certified by the Tai Chi for Health Institute. “Come learn six gentle movements of Sun-style Tai Chi to improve flexibility, strength, balance, mental focus and your performance of daily activities,” she added.

These classes will meet once each week for six weeks, ending on Nov. 11. There is a fee of $30 payable at the first session. The class size is limited; to attend, call HealthLink Littauer at (518) 736-1120.
