Ash Wednesday service set for Feb. 26

GLOVERSVILLE — The North Main Street United Methodist Church, 316 N. Main St., will hold its Ash Wednesday service at 6 p.m. Feb. 26 in the chapel, according to a news release.

The service will start the Lenten season of services with the theme, “God forth for Jesus.” Pastor Joyce Royal will conduct the service with the imposition of ashes during the service.

The next four weeks will continue at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel with the Judy Davis, certified lay speaker, and James Medbury, Carol Johnson and Judy Antonucci, certified layservants, conducting these services following the same theme as they discuss how to Go Forth in service to Jesus during the Lenten time leading up to Easter Sunday.
