GLOVERSVILLE — In response to the temporary suspension of bulk pick-ups due to the ongoing state mandate requiring staff reductions, the city will begin to stage roll-off dumpsters behind the transit facility at 109 W. Fulton St. for residents to use to dispose of bulk items free of charge on four consecutive weekends beginning Saturday.
Hours are Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon. Access is limited to Gloversville residents only. Proof of residency will be required. No tires, hazardous waste or household trash will be accepted.
The bulk drop-off opportunity will be offered in addition to the annual Summer Clean-up Program that will take place later this year for each ward with dumpster boxes to be staged at the transit yard for those each of those scheduled dates.
