Project Gratitude launched for children

SCHENECTADY — Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara has launched a letter-writing project for children, “Project Gratitude,” allowing them to say “thank you” to essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a news release from Santabarbara’s office, he is asking school kids at home to print out the specially designed card on the website www.assembly.state.ny.us/mem/Angelo-Santabarbara or create their own and take a moment to write thank you messages to those keeping the community safe and healthy during these unprecedented times.

“During this crisis our essential workers are the local heroes of our time and they deserve our unwavering gratitude,” said Santabarbara in the release.

Letters can be mailed directly to Santabarbara’s district office at 433 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12305 where they’ll be delivered.

Community members are additionally encouraged to take photos with their completed cards and post them to Santabarbara’s social media pages using the hashtag #ProjectGratitude.
