JOHNSTOWN — The Johnstown Water Department will begin flushing fire hydrants between 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and will continue through Friday.
The residents may notice a drop in water pressure and are advised to use caution while doing laundry, as flushing may cause water discoloration.
Residents are advised that if they have discoloration in their water to let the water run for a few minutes and the water should clear up.
Note that the water is safe for drinking, cooking and bathing according to Senior Water Plant Operator John Denmark.
