26th annual memory tree slated

GALWAY — The Galway Lioness Club will have the 26th annual memory tree in the village of Galway Park by the bandstand. The memory tree will be lit with bulbs to remember deceased loved ones during the Christmas season, according to a news release.

A $1 donation is requested for each name submitted. The list of names will be written in a memory tree book located in a case in the park gazebo. The memory tree names may be mailed to the Galway Lioness Club, P.O. Box 502, Galway, N.Y. 12074. The names for the memory tree may be submitted through Dec. 31.

The official memory tree lighting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 29) in the village park, at the intersection of Sacandaga Road and Galway Road.

The memory tree will be lit through Jan. 31.
