Christmas Eve services to be online

GLOVERSVILLE — The North Main Street United Methodist Church Christmas Eve services will be entirely online this year, due to concerns for the congregation’s health and safety, according to a news release.

∫ All services will start at noon with hymns placed by our pianist, Mavis Baldwin.

∫ At 1 p.m. Judy Davis, Judy Antonucci and Carol Johnson, the lay ministry team, will start the service with Words of Assurance, calls to worship and prayers as well lighting of the Advent Candle.

∫ At 2 p.m. Scriptures will be read by James Medbury.

∫ At 3 p.m. Pastor Joyce Royal will complete the service with a Christmas sermon.

∫ At 4 the chancel choir will sing “O Holy Night” followed by “Silent Night.”

The congregation is invited to stop in the Sanctuary for a few minutes of each service wearing a mask and socially distancing.
