AMSTERDAM — Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara will be hosting a blood drive with the American Red Cross from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the Century Club of Amsterdam, 130 Guy Park Ave., according to a news release.
The event staff and participants must follow safety guidelines including temperature checks, social distancing, and must wear face masks. The Red Cross will also screen all blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies, which can be used to help those who are battling the virus.
The donations are by appointment only by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/donation-time to schedule a donation time.
