GLOVERSVILLE — The Fulton County Historical Society is having its first creative writing contest. Fulton County has long been home to world-renowned authors and artists who have found inspiration in the natural landscape and history of the area. The authors like Robert W. Chambers, Margaret Widdemer, Grace Sarka, Harriet Mabel Spalding, and Richard Russo have called the county home, according to a news release.
The county is still a hub of creativity and supports an active arts community. To celebrate the artistic neighbors, the FCHS invites community members to participate in the inaugural creative writing contest and find inspiration in the county history.
The contest is open to all Fulton County residents from grades three through adult.
