YMCA to distribute food boxes in April

ALBANY — The Capital District YMCA has partnered with the Fulton County YMCA, to distribute 2,520 boxes of free food to residents of Fulton County, Montgomery County and surrounding communities this month, according to a news release.

These efforts are part of the Capital District YMCA’s partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture’s Farmers to Families food box distribution program.

Each 25-pound box of food contains assorted fresh fruits and vegetables, pre-cooked meat, and dairy products (cheese, yogurt, milk).

The Fulton County YMCA, 213 Harrison St., Johnstown, is set to distribute boxes of food from 9:30 a.m. to noon April 29. For a complete list of locations where the Capital District YMCA is distributing USDA food boxes, visit: www.CDYMCA.org.
