Northville Rotary’s wood, art show slated

NORTHVILLE — The Northville Rotary will celebrate its 12th wood and art show weekend July 16-18, at the Northampton Town Park and Bradt Municipal Building, Northville, according to a news release.

Over 50 artists from the local area and state will display their art.

The opening ceremonies will start the event. The hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. July 16; from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 17, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 18, and will include demonstrations, raffles, and a silent auction.

The juried artists and craftsmen will display examples of the works of art.

The artists will include woodworkers, painters, jewelers, photographers, weavers, basket makers, potters, all displaying items available for purchase.

This year the Rotary will be raffling a paddleboard, donated by Fuel and Food in Mayfield; Amish furniture, donated by The Blue Hen of Amsterdam; and a 13-foot wooden kayak built by a community members group and Rotarians led by Ed Anker.

Food can be purchased from a number of vendors.

The proceeds from this event will be used by the Northville Rotary throughout the year to provide scholarships to students, support community organizations, and projects of Rotary International.
