Utica area news in Brief

UTICA —The following is the state Department of Transportations scheduled road work for the Tri-couny area:

Montgomery County

City of Amsterdam: Route 30 over the Canal. Motorists will encounter a south bound right lane closure (outside lane), a north bound auxiliary lane closure. The Route 30 north bound ramp to Route 5 east bound will be closed as well as the Erie Street ramp to Route 30 north bound. Route 5 east bound ramp to Route 30 south bound is closed. The Route 30 south bound ramp to Bridge Street will be closed. There will be signed detours in place.

City of Amsterdam: Route 30 between I-90 and Route 5S. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to conduit installation.

City of Amsterdam: Route 5 between John Street and Lark Street. Motorists will encounter a full east bound sidewalk closure with a pedestrian detour in place.

Charleston, Town of Glen: Route 30A between Route 162 and Route 5S. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions due to guiderail installation and driveway paving operations.

Village of Fort Johnson: Route 5 between Stoners Trail and Route 67. Motorists will encounter a Phase 1 traffic pattern due to bridge replacement. There will be a lane closure in each direction with the occasional flagger at the intersections. Route 5 east bound traffic is now shifted into one thru lane and one left turn lane onto Route 67. The west bound traffic is now shifted into the turn lane which will now be the right turn lane onto Route 67 and thru traffic.

Town of Glen: Route 161 between Route 30A and Route 30. Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions with flaggers in place due to sign and guiderail installation.
