9/11 ceremony slated at FMCC

JOHNSTOWN — Fulton-Montgomery Community College will hold a 9/11 remembrance ceremony starting at 8 a.m. Saturday on campus.

According to a news release, the agenda includes a welcome from FM President Greg Truckenmiller, Assemblyman Santa Barbara, Assemblyman Smullen, Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino, and Montgomery County Sheriff Jeff Smith. Members of the town of Mohawk Fire Department will be on hand to provide a bell ringing service during the event as well.

Professor Joel Chapin will provide a history of the piece of the tower that is installed on the campus.

All are welcome to attend the event. Reservations are not necessary.

Also, the Perrella Art Gallery will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a photo display from the 9/11 attack.
