JOHNSTOWN — Fulton-Montgomery Community College will celebrate Constitution Day on Friday with a talk from the Fulton County historian at noon in the Rao Theater.

Samantha Hall-Saladino, who is also the executive director of the Fulton County Historical Society, will present “The Hope of Liberty: Fulton-Montgomery Counties and the Legacy of the US Constitution.”

Join Hall-Saladino in an exploration of the founding of America through the experiences of Colonel James Livingston, Revolutionary War veteran and politician, and his family as they navigated life through Revolutionary New York and Canada, their ultimate settling in Johnstown, and Livingston’s role in the new state’s lawmaking and debate over the new Constitution, a news release said.
