Broadalbin DPW reading meters

BROADALBIN — The Village DPW personnel will begin reading meters this week for the November water/sewer bills, a news release said.
Bills will be mailed on or about Nov. 1. If customers do not have an outside meter and they are not home at the time Village DPW personnel attempt to read the inside meter, a Yellow Water Meter Reading Notice Card will be left requesting the customer provide the inside meter reading number to the Village Clerk’s Office, the release said. Meter reading instructions are on the back of the card; provide meter readings before or by Oct. 27.
Customers may provide their inside meter reading number including Property Information: Name, Address, Phone Number, and Account Number to the Village Clerk’s Office with the following options:
1) E-mail to [email protected] — Customers can take a photo of the inside meter with a cell phone and email to the Village Clerk. (Property address and phone number are needed; the village may contact the customer if the photo is not clear, the release said.)
2) Customers can write down and drop the inside meter reading information or Yellow Meter Notice Card into the Village Clerk’s Office door mail slot at any time.
3) Customers can contact the Village Clerk at 518-883-8265 with the inside meter reading and/or leave a message at any time with the above-mentioned property information.
Any unread meters will be estimated, the release said.
Outside meters should be compared to the inside meters. If the numbers are not reading the same, contact the Village Clerk’s Office as soon as possible, the release said.
