Heavy wind was causing branches and trees to fall in some areas today, resulting in some power outages.
National Grid reported 426 customers in Fulton County, 545 in Montgomery County and 795 in Hamilton County were without power as of around 2 p.m. today.
The National Weather Service, which issued a high-wind warning for the three counties, reported wind speeds of 23 mph in the Gloversville area today and gusts of around 31 mph.
Wind gusts are forecast for Friday as well. Snow showers are expected Friday and Saturday, the Weather Service reported.
