CANAJOHARIE – Authorities on Saturday reported a 4-year-old boy was the person killed in Friday’s accident on South Buel Road.
The boy fell off a farm tractor and was struck by a tire, according to a news release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The boy’s uncle, who was driving the tractor, noticed the boy losing his balance but was not able to catch him, according to the news release.
The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office pronounced the boy dead at the scene.
The accident was investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and state police.
“At this time, no names of the family or the victim are being released,” the news release said.
