GLOVERSVILLE – Two residents of the city were arrested by police after a BB gun was fired in an apartment on Montgomery Street and caused damage to the property, city police said.
Stephanie R. Zea, 30, of 10 Montgomery St., Apartment 1, and Anthony J. Walters, 19, of 7 Prospect Place, Apartment 1, were charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Zea also was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and Walters also was charged with discharging a firearm within city limits.
Police said they responded to the report of criminal mischief inside the residence at 10 Montgomery St., Apartment 1, where damage was caused to two separate windows, the refrigerator and kitchen sink.
The investigation revealed a BB gun had been discharged inside the apartment, police said. Officers arrested Walters, alleging he discharged the BB gun, police said.
Police said two juveniles were present when the shooting occurred.
Zea also violated an order of protection, police said.
Both were arraigned in City Court before Judge Traci DiMezza.
Zea was held on $300 cash bail and Walters was released on his own recognizance.
