NORTHAMPTON – Longtime Northville Mayor James Groff won the Republican and Conservative primary elections Tuesday in the race for town supervisor, defeating incumbent Linda Kemper.
According to unofficial results, Groff received 211 Republican votes and Kemper received 92 Republican votes. Groff received 11 Conservative votes and Kemper received three Conservative votes, according to unofficial results.
Groff will have the Republican and Conservative lines in the November general election. Both candidates also will run as independents in the general election.
