New website provides details about village

NORTHVILLE – The village has boosted its online presence by launching a new website and Facebook page.

“A great online presence is so important in marketing Northville beyond our borders, as more and more people are exploring, primarily online, their travel options, places to purchase homes and places in which to do business,” village Mayor Jon Spaeth said in a news release.

The new site – – includes information and photography to portray every season to its viewers. A tab titled “Explore the Village” lists places to eat, stay or shop. Other sections of the site go into detail about government, public safety, things to do and events.

An “About Us” tab includes answers to most frequently asked questions, the release said.

Betsy Emery, of Emery Designs in Gloversville, created the page. She was assisted by Northville village clerk Wendy Reu.

“We are excited about our new website which features new photos and visuals, and an easier way to help residents and visitors alike find great information about the village,” Spaeth said in the release.

The new Facebook page “Visit Northville, NY” – – also was created in an effort to promote events in the town and village. According to the release, the page should allow prospective visitors and residents to be connected with the various groups and organizations that are tied to Northville and the town of Northampton.
