Drunk driver gets three years

JOHNSTOWN — A convicted Saratoga County drunken driver was sentenced Thursday in Fulton County Court to up to three years in state prison.

Shelley A. Jones, 47, of Farmville Lane, Waterford, was sentenced by County Court Judge Polly A. Hoye to one to three years in state prison, as part of a plea arrangement.

Jones must also pay a $1,000 fine and surcharge, and she had her driver’s license revoked by the judge.

Sentencing was based on the defendant’s Jan. 11 guilty plea to one felony count of driving while intoxicated.

Jones was arrested Aug. 5 in the town of Northampton.

In other Fulton County Court action from Thursday:

∫ Jason Green, 34, of County Highway 107, was sentenced by Hoye to one year in the Fulton County Jail and he must make $50 restitution, as part of a plea arrangement.

Sentencing was based on his Nov. 15 guilty plea to one count of third-degree assault.

Green was arrested Nov. 3, 2015.

∫Todd Heroth, 51, of Briggs Street, Johnstown, was sentenced by Hoye to time already served and assessed a $500 fine.

He pleaded guilty as part of an arrangement on Dec. 15 to one felony count of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Heroth was arrested July 20 by the Gloversville Police Department.
