Benefit for Gateway House set

BALLSTON SPA — The third annual Sharing the Journey motorcycle run to benefit Gateway House of Peace will be held June 3, according to a news release.

The round-trip run of about 100 miles will begin at The Factory Eatery and Spirits, 20 Prospect St., by Saratoga Lake, through the hills of Stillwater and Saratoga National Historic Battlefield, over the Hudson River to the American Legion Post #515, 19 Abeel Ave., Greenwich, and back to The Factory.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., with kickstands up at 11.

Cost is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger. A continental breakfast with lunch is included. The cost is $10 per person to attend the after-party only starting about 2:30.

The event will include T-shirts, a 50/50 raffle, and pick of the board. Live music will be provided by the band RiverJack Z and Mikey D.

Gateway House is a charitable organization dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable and caring home free of charge for terminally ill patients under the medical care of Hospice.

Gateway is a donor-driven community organization that receives no insurance reimbursements, state or government funding. The home is staffed primarily with volunteers and relies on community support.
