GLOVERSVILLE – City police reportedly located a male lying on Rose Street with a severe head injury Sunday around 9:49 p.m. and are asking residents with any information regarding the incident to contact the police department.
According to a press release, members of the Gloversville Police Department Patrol Division responded to Rose Street Sunday night for what was initially reported to be an emergency medical services complaint.
Upon arrival, officers located a male with a severe injury to his head lying in the roadway. The patrol officers requested assistance from city detectives who responded to the scene processing evidence located in the area and interviewing several witnesses to the incident that led to the male’s injury.
Rose Street was closed for about three hours Monday morning during the on scene investigation.
The injured male is currently hospitalized in Albany Medical Center.
The police investigation into how the male was injured is ongoing. Police said there is currently no threat to public safety.
The Gloversville Police Department is being assisted by the New York State Police and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.
