JOHNSTOWN — The HealthLink Littauer, the community health and wellness service of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, announces its 22nd annual women’s wellness conference entitled, “Images of a Woman” will be held on July 18 at the Holiday Inn, 308 N. Comrie Ave.; choose to attend from noon to 2:30 p.m. or 6 to 8:30 p.m., according to a news release.
“Treat yourself, an employee, co-worker, friend, relative, or loved one to this special event that focuses on women’s health and wellness,” stated Tammy Merendo, Littauer’s director of community education. “This year’s keynote, ‘The Beat Goes On — Music, Mood, Movement,’ will be presented by Alicia DeRuscio and The Heartbeats, the news release stated.
“Attend this unique and entertaining program designed to increase your ‘heartbeat,’ stated personal trainer and choreographer, Alicia DeRuscio B.S., Littauer’s Community Education Assistant. “Join us to discover the relationship between music, mood and movement. Learn simple strategies designed to motivate everyone to participate in a free form of fitness while having fun. Come experience the heart-healthy benefits of dancing,” she added, the news release stated.
Again this year, two sessions are being offered to accommodate all adult women who may want to participate. The doors will open one hour prior to each session for complimentary hors d’oeuvres, chair massages, reflexology and a photo booth. Numerous vendors and raffle prizes are also offered, followed by a delicious buffet-style meal and dessert, the news release stated.
