Teens located

GLOVERSVILLE — City police on Tuesday announced that officers safely located a pair of teenagers who had been reported missing two weeks earlier.

Police on Monday requested help from the public in locating Dylan Burns, 17, and Juan A. Miranda, 16, who had last been seen in the evening hours on March 30 leaving 171 S. Main St., a group home operated by Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth.

Police later confirmed the teens were residents of the home and were believed to have left the facility on their own. Both teens were reported missing on March 30 by facility staff members, but at different times.

Following the initial report, city police worked with Berkshire Farm and the Fulton County Department of Social Services seeking to locate the teens. With the whereabouts of both juveniles still unknown as of Monday morning, police put out a call for help in locating the teens shortly after 11 a.m.

Later that day police issued an update stating that Miranda had been located safely at an undisclosed location in the city at approximately 2 p.m.

On Tuesday police issued another release stating that Burns had also been located safely at an undisclosed location in the city as of approximately 2 p.m.

“At this time, both missing juvenile male subjects have been located. We would like to thank the public for their assistance with locating the missing juveniles,” the police press release states.
