The basketball court at Elk Street Park in Gloversville sports a fresh coat of asphalt following resurfacing and is surrounded by a newly-installed fence as seen Thursday. Additional landscaping is expected to be completed beyond the court and in the spring a mural selected by the community will be painted on the surface of the basketball court. The city plans to make additional improvements to the park in phases as part of an ongoing revitalization project.
