FONDA — As Montgomery County is presently in Phase 1A for distributing the vaccine which includes healthcare workers, they are preparing for the phase of distributing the vaccine to the general public through a survey.
Montgomery County is conducting a survey to receive information on those who are interested in being vaccinated once the county enters the phase when the general public is eligible to do so, according to the county’s Facebook page.

Completing this survey will help the county in regards to following up with those who are interested once the vaccine is made available to the general public.
Public Health Director Sara Boerenko also made a statement regarding COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution on the county Facebook page.
“St. Mary’s Healthcare has led the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine for those in Montgomery County eligible during Phase 1A. In an effort to alleviate the frontline workers at the hospital, the local health department will assist in the distribution process and begin vaccinating the overflow of group 1A [today],” she said. “Montgomery County Public Health has received 100 doses which will be issued to those in Phase 1A who are now eligible such as dental providers, school nurses, specialty medical practices and other front-line, high-risk public health workers.”
Boerenko said in the statement that once the health department receives information from the state Department of Health regarding the distribution of Phase 1B, it will be immediately communicated to the public.
“We will keep you informed during this evolving situation through the county’s social media platforms, website and each week during our livestream,” Boerenko said in the statement.
