Music marks milestone

The Sherman’s centennial was celebrated with music from its founding times Saturday. Ragtime pianist Ethan Uslan will take you back in time with popular tunes like Scott Joplin’s “Maple Leaf Rag” and more. A three-time winner of the World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest, Ethan Uslan brings his passion, humor, virtuosity, and a deep love for America’s rich musical past to Caroga Lake Music Festival this season. Following the event, everyone was invited to an informal after party featuring Stump City brewing and carousel rides. The concert was the start of the 100th year celebration of Shermans Amusement Park, started by Frank Sherman in 1921. Many of the people attending wore 1920 era dress and everyone was invited to a small party after the show.
