GLOVERSVILLE – Two people face kidnapping counts, accused of holding a man at knife-point in Gloversville recently, authorities said.
A police spokesman indicated this week that at least one of the two suspects knew the victim and the incident was not random.
Kathleen M, Cristiano, 36, and Daniel G. Davison, 42, residences unavailable, were each charged with one count of second-degree kidnapping, a felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.
They are accused of attempting to abduct a man at a North Street address by displaying a machete-like knife at about 8:30 p.m. July 30, according to police allegations filed in court.
They allegedly held knives to the victim while assisting each other, according to the allegations. Davison is accused of brandishing a machete-like knife, while Cristiano is accused of holding a folding knife.
They then are accused of restraining the victim and searching him, while threatening deadly physical force and now allowing him to leave his residence, according to the allegations.
