BROADALBIN— Fulton County Outdoor Adventure Day is a day to highlight the outdoor activities in Fulton County. It is a multiple venue event where you can find a table about fishing, boating, biking, antiquing, and many local artisans featuring handmade goods and fresh farm products.
“A craft fair with an outdoor flair” is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
An outdoor-palooza of free family fun, sponsored by the Fulton County Board of Supervisors and the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Fulton County Administrative Officer Jon Stead commented about the second year of this annual event. “It’s perfect timing for Outdoor Adventure Day. Hikers, kayakers, fishermen and hunters are all getting ready for Fall in the Adirondacks. This year, there are some new surprises, so it will be great place to gear-up at vendors or learn something new about your favorite hobby.”
There are multiple venues to spread out the event to showcase what the Route 29 and Route 30 Corridor have to offer. Anchors include: The Fulton County Visitor Center, Historic Hotel Broadablin, The Wildlife Museum, Adirondack Harley Davidson, Frank’s Gun Shop, SchoolHouse Antiques, and the Great Sacandaga Brewing Company.
Mark Kilmer, President/CEO of the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber said: “Our first event of this type was held last year and consisted of six partnering venues throughout Vail Mills and Broadalbin and brought in hundreds of visitors, as well as our local residents.
With more people becoming willing to travel and engage with others, I’m sure this great Autumn event will continue to grow and help our tourism economy.”
Fulton County Outdoor Adventure Day is adhering to the current CDC guidelines. Masks are not required this year but are still encouraged as the guidelines state. Hand sanitizer will be located throughout the event. Thank you to Fulton County Emergency Management for the supply of hand sanitizer and masks.
