GLOVERSVILLE – A pedestrian was struck and killed Saturday morning after being struck by a passing vehicle in Gloversville, police said.
The crash happened at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of East State Street and Maple Avenue, police said.

The pedestrian, who was not immediately identified, was taken to Nathan Littauer Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival, police said,
Detectives responded to the scene and a portion of East State Street was closed for the investigation, police said.
Members of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit assisted Gloversville Police with processing the scene, police said.
The investigation into the cause of the crash remained ongoing, police said Saturday.
