MONTGOMERY COUNTY – A Level 2 sex offender has been arrested, accused of failing to update his address on the state sex offender registry, Montgomery County Sheriff’s officials said.

Jeremy A. Lake, 41, most recently of Gloversville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of failing to report a change of address, a felony.

An investigation showed he failed to submit his annual verification to the registry. He must register due to a 2018 conviction for possessing child pornography, officials said.

Gloversville Police later located him there, interviewed him and arrested him, sheriff’s officials said.

Lake was arraigned and ordered held on $2,500 bail. He is due to return to court later.

Montgomery County District Attorney Lorraine Diamond and the Gloversville Police Department assisted.
