Troopers: Gloversville man fled traffic stop in Fultonville, arrested at truck stop

FULTONVILLE – A Gloversville man fled a traffic stop in Fultonville Tuesday, but was soon arrested at a nearby truck stop, state police said.

State police identified the driver as Jordan A. Fregin, 22, of Gloversville. He was charged with one misdemeanor count of fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, state police said.

The incident began just after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening on Route 30A in Fultonville, state police spokeswoman Trooper Kerra Burns said.

A trooper attempted to stop Fregin for a series of traffic violations. The driver, identified as Fregin, then failed to stop. Instead, the driver cut through a yard on 30A and the vehicle was soon found abandoned, Burns said.

No chase was initiated, according to Burns.

Troopers later located Fregin at the TA Truck Stop in Fultonville and taken into custody.

He was processed and released to appear in court later.
