Fulton Co. Sheriff: Broadalbin woman charged with DWI in two-car crash; Four from other vehicle hurt

BROADALBIN A Broadalbin woman has been charged with driving while intoxicated following an car crash Friday that sent four people to the hospital, Fulton County Sheriff’s officials said. 

Officials identified the woman charged as Emma L. Forbes, 32. She faces charges of driving while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while her registration was suspended or revoked, officials said.

The four people hurt were taken to the hospital, one with a fractured neck, and have since been released, Sheriff Richard Giardino said Tuesday.

The crash happened just before 10 p.m. Friday on Lakeview Road in Broadalbin.

Police conducted a series of field sobriety tests, which indicated she was intoxicated, officials said.

Forbes was released and is due to appear in Broadalbin Town Court at a later date.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending, officials said.
