St. Johnsville man on life support following motorcycle crash in Oppenheim Saturday

OPPENHEIM A St. Johnsville man is on life support in the intensive care unit at Albany Medical Center following a crash in Oppenheim over the weekend, according to Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino. 

Alfredo Dinuzzo Jr. 38, has been in the hospital since Saturday. 

Police responded around 10 p.m. Saturday to state Route 29 in Oppenheim where they said a lone motorcycle hit a construction barrier. Giardino also the construction barrier was clearly marked.

“He wasn’t wearing a helmet,” Giardino said. 

He said Dinuzzo had very serious injuries and was originally transported to Little Falls Hospital before being airlifted to Albany Medical Center. 

Giardino said alcohol may be a factor in the crash but that it is still under investigation.
