Troopers: Amsterdam man forcibly touched multiple children; Charged in Glen, Gloversville, Town of Amsterdam


GLEN – An Amsterdam man has been arrested, accused of multiple incidents of forcibly touching children, New York State Police said.

The investigation began with allegations related to one child in Glen and Gloversville, police said.

Tyler J. Frolke, 22, of Amsterdam, surrendered Thursday, was arrested and charged with two counts each of of forcible touching and second-degree sexual abuse, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of third-degree obscenity, all misdemeanors.

The investigation began Aug. 29 when troopers received a complaint that Frolke had inappropriate physical contact with a 13-year-old in Glen and Gloversville. The investigation then uncovered multiple incidents during which Frolke forcibly touched children.

He faces the forcible touching, sexual abuse and child endangerment counts, one each in Glen and Gloversville. He faces the obscenity and third child endangerment count in the town of Amsterdam, records show.

Frolke was arraigned and ordered held on $5,000 bail.
