GLOVERSVILLE – A Gloversville man is facing a felony animal cruelty count, accused of causing serious injury to a year-old dog, authorities said this week.

Travis M. Krokowski, 21, of Gloversville, was arrested Monday and charged with one count of aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony, authorities said.

Krokowski is accused of kicking the dog in the face and dragging her by the neck with her lead, causing trauma to her larynx March 3. He’s also accused of causing fractured teeth and a cut to her cheek, according to police allegations filed in court.

Krokowski was arrested after a complaint from the public, police spokesman Lt. Bradley Schaffer said.

The dog has been treated and has been surrendered to the Fulton County ASPCA, Schaffer said.

Krokowski was released to appear in court later.
