GLOVERSVILLE – Eight people have been detained in a mid-day Thursday raid on a home as part of a drug investigation, Gloversville police said.

Members of the Glove Cities Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at about noon Thursday at 32 E. Pine St. in Gloversville, police said.

The raid came as part of an ongoing investigation into drug sales from that address, police said.

In all, police detained eight adults. They remained in custody just before 2 p.m.

Police indicated they expected drug and weapons charges to be filed as a result of the search.

Officials indicated they expected to release information on those charged later.
