Schuylerville defeated Johnstown 5-2 in a Foothills Council baseball game on Thursday, as Luke Sherman hit a double for the Black Horses.
Antonio DeMarco and Evan Baker each hit a double for the Sir Bills.
Duanesburg and Amsterdam were tied 6-6 after two innings in a non-league softball game, then the Eagles kept scoring, and the Rams didn’t.
Duanesburg outscored Amsterdam 7-0 the rest of the way for a 13-6 victory in which the Eagles’ Allison Mienaltowski had a home run, double and two RBIs.
Shannon Zink went 3-for-4 and scored four runs for Duanesburg, and Victoria Silva went 2 for 3 with three RBIs. Elianna Tirado hit a home run for Amsterdam.
In Foothills Council boys’ lacrosse, South Glens Falls survived a close game with Scotia-Glenville with a 13-9 victory. Hudson Delisle had five goals and one assist for the Bulldogs, and Peyton Viger had three goals and four assists. Dylan Bzdell led Scotia with four goals, Austin Stark had two goals and four assists and Nick Lemp scored three goals.
Queensbury defeated Glens Falls 16-2, as Brayden Shattuck scored four goals and assisted on one for the Spartans, and Michael Deutsch, Ryan Sokol and Ian Reynolds each scored three goals. Deutsch had three assists.
Kendal Kelsey had seven goals and two assists to lead Queensbury to an 18-4 victory over Schuylerville in Foothills Council girls’ lacrosse. Kendra Ballard had five goals and three assists for the Spartans.
