Name: Seamus
Gender & Breed: Male Pitbull mix
Age: 1 year old
Organization: Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Menands
About: Are you in the market for a Good Boy? Then look no further. Seamus is a gentle soul who can be a bit nervous at first but, when given some super tasty treats, a bit of love and patience, he is sure to blossom and show you his true colors. He loves food, so much so that he will get pushy for it.
Because Seamus is still working on my confidence, he will need a family that will give me a quiet home and show him with positive reinforcement that the world isn’t so scary. Additionally, he would do best in a home with older kids.
Adoption Details: Seamus is up for adoption at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, open Monday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Adoption fees and requirements can be found on the shelter’s website at mohawkhumane.org.

About: Flower, along with her sister Nugget, was surrendered to the Montgomery County SPCA in late June when their owner could no longer care for them. They are shy and quiet girls who warm up when given some attention. They’ll be a perfect addition to a loving family.

Name: Siren
Gender & Breed: Female Domestic Shorthair
Age: 3 years old
Organization: Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Menands
About: Just like her name suggests, Siren likes to sing the song of her mermaid people, the siren song. She is nervous at first, but warms up with patience, love and some treats. She removes herself from situations she is uncomfortable in and she will let you know when she is done.
Siren is most likely not a “starter cat,” and would benefit from going home with someone who understands cat behavior and can pick up on the signs cats give off when they are in their feelings.
Adoption Details: Siren is up for adoption at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, open Monday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Adoption fees and requirements can be found on the shelter’s website at mohawkhumane.org.
