JOHNSTOWN — Maximum D. Pesce, 42, of 17 Putnam St., Amsterdam, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies Wednesday with felony counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, fourth-degree welfare fraud, and fourth-degree grand larceny.
Deputies said Pesce allegedly filed a false instrument with the county Department of Social Services for benefits he wasn’t entitled to.
He was arraigned in City Court and sent to the county jail to await further court action.
